Vini expands Bern service with demand-based daily Munich flights

Vini, the carrier formerly known as Flyv or Flybird, is expanding its service from Bern after a summer trial period. The Munich route had previously run on a fixed schedule three times a week. Now it can be requested for any day of the week, and according to the airline, an additional flight will be added whenever enough demand accumulates.

The company has also introduced a scheme called Make It Fly, under which travellers can prompt new connections to destinations including Saint-Tropez by registering interest.

During June and July, Vini operated 31 flights between Bern and Munich, carrying 122 passengers in total. The airline said average load factor over that period stood at 60 to 65 percent. A further twelve passengers used connections to Augsburg and Stuttgart during the same window.

Flight operations paused over the summer break. They are due to resume in September, the airline said. No further details on aircraft type or fleet were provided in the airline's statement.
