Introduction
On June 9, 2013, an incident occurred involving a Boeing 747-400 aircraft. The United Kingdom's Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) subsequently notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the occurrence.
Investigation Details
In response to the notification, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAIB with the investigation. This appointment is made under the provisions of Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, which designates the NTSB as the State of Manufacturer and Design for the Boeing 747-400. All investigative information pertaining to this incident will be released by the AAIB.
