NTSB Appoints Representative for 2014 Boeing 737-8AS Accident Investigation

Investigation Authority and Notification On June 23, 2014, an accident involving a Boeing 737-8AS airplane occurred. The CIAIAC of Spain, as the investigating authority, notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the incident. ## U.S. Role Under ICAO Annex 13 In accordance with the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the CIAIAC's investigation. The NTSB assumed this role in its capacity as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the aircraft. ## Information Release All investigative information related to the accident is to be released by the CIAIAC.
