Accident Notification
The Air Accidents Investigation Unit of Ireland (AAIU-IE) has notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a Boeing 737-8AS airplane that occurred on April 1, 2015. The notification was made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13.
NTSB Involvement
The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAIU-IE in the investigation. This role is undertaken as the United States is the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane. The NTSB will provide technical assistance as requested by the AAIU-IE.
