On 21 April 2023, a private Cessna 150G with a student pilot and passenger struck a power line after a low-altitude manoeuvre and crashed into a driveway in Saint-Rémi, Quebec. Both occupants suffered serious injuries.

Occurrence

On 21 April 2023, a private Cessna 150G departed on a local visual flight rules flight from a private field in Saint-Urbain-Premier, Quebec. The aircraft carried a student pilot and a passenger. While flying at very low altitude over a residence in the municipality of Saint-Rémi, Quebec, the airplane performed a low-altitude manoeuvre. During this manoeuvre, it struck a power line and subsequently crashed into the driveway of a house. A fire erupted following the impact, and the aircraft was destroyed. The two occupants were extricated from the wreckage with serious injuries and were transported to a hospital.
