Introduction
On 21 September 2025, a privately registered Robinson R44 helicopter departed from a private property near Sainte-Marie, Quebec, en route to Magog, Quebec. The single-pilot aircraft was later observed flying in a nose-down attitude toward a forested hill near Saint-Séverin, Quebec.
Accident Details
The helicopter struck the treetops and crashed. A post-impact fire ensued, and the aircraft was destroyed. The pilot, who was the sole occupant on board, sustained fatal injuries.
Aftermath
Emergency services responded to the crash site. The aircraft was destroyed by the impact and subsequent fire. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has launched an investigation into the occurrence.
