What happened
Approximately fifteen minutes after departing from Ponta Pelada AFB for a flight destined for Boa Vista, the aircraft experienced a loss of power in one of its engines. In response to the mechanical issue, the crew decided to initiate a return to the departure airfield.
During the attempt to return, the pilot was unable to preserve a sufficient altitude. This led to an emergency landing maneuver that ultimately resulted in the aircraft striking a house. The impact caused injuries to all nine occupants on board the aircraft. Additionally, one person residing in the impacted building was killed during the incident.
Findings
