What happened
A twin-engine aircraft departed from Campo de Marte AFB, located near São Paulo, as part of a flight destined for Porto Alegre with a scheduled stop in Florianópolis. The flight was transporting a total of 16 people, consisting of 13 passengers and three crew members.
During the cruise phase of the flight toward Florianópolis, the crew experienced technical issues. In response to these complications, an emergency was declared, and the aircraft was authorized to divert to Curitiba-Afonso Pena Airport. While performing the final approach to runway 33, the twin-engine aircraft experienced a stall. The impact occurred in a grassy field situated approximately 3,600 metres before the runway threshold.
The accident resulted in three fatalities, including one pilot, and left 13 injuries among the remaining occupants.
