What happened
While performing the takeoff roll, the aircraft's right engine suffered a mechanical failure that resulted in an explosion. This sudden loss of power caused the flight crew to abort the takeoff attempt as the plane became difficult to steer. During the aborted maneuver, the aircraft type veered away from the runway centerline and traveled approximately 1,600 meters past the end of the paved surface.
The aircraft subsequently struck a group of trees, which led to the total destruction of the airframe. Despite the severity of the impact, all 16 occupants were successfully rescued from the wreckage. Among those on board, 5 individuals sustained injuries during the accident.
Findings
Investigations into the incident focused on the sudden malfunction of the propulsion system. The primary factor identified was the failure and subsequent explosion of the right engine during the initial phase of flight.
