What happened

During an arrival at Chitral Airport, an aircraft was unable to decelerate sufficiently after touching down on runway 02. Due to the insufficient remaining runway distance, the aircraft overran the end of the paved surface. During the excursion, the aircraft exited the runway and entered a terrain composed of sand and grass. The impact with the ground caused the aircraft to lose its undercarriage.

Despite the severity of the excursion, all 40 occupants managed to evacuate the aircraft without injury. The incident resulted in the aircraft being declared a total loss, as the structural damage was deemed beyond repair.
