What happened
A domestic flight departing from Rawalpindi Airport at 0601LT, carrying approximately 9,146 pounds of food supplies, crashed during its transit to Skardu. Shortly after takeoff, at 0604LT, the crew notified Cherat Homer that they expected to reach the control zone boundary by 0610LT.
Communication records from Chakhlala ATC indicate that the aircraft attempted to contact Skardu at 0607LT on frequency 119.7, but received no reply. At 0620LT, Skardu controllers requested assistance from Gilgit to monitor for the flight and instructed the crew to switch to frequency 5514 kcs. The aircraft successfully established contact with Skardu on the new frequency at 0630LT; however, no further radio transmissions were recorded.

The impact occurred within Pakistani territory, near the border with Azad Kashmir. The collision resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and four fatalities among the crew.
