Event
During the takeoff roll on runway 17, the aircraft accelerated to 107 knots when the right engine lost power. The crew promptly decided to abandon the takeoff and initiated emergency braking procedures. However, the aircraft could not stop within the remaining runway length of 1,995 meters. It overran the runway, traversed 120 meters beyond the paved surface, and subsequently collided with trees.
Occupants and Injuries
All 40 occupants aboard were successfully evacuated from the aircraft. Among them, six passengers sustained injuries. The extent of injuries is not specified.
Damage
The aircraft sustained damage that rendered it beyond economical repair.
Probable Cause
The official investigation determined that the probable cause of the engine power loss was a clogged filter located on a fuel line connected to the right engine. This clogging caused a momentary failure of the engine.
