What happened
During a night flight, an aircraft experienced an uncontrolled descent approximately 35 minutes after departing from Isfahan Airport. While maintaining a cruising altitude of 18,000 feet, the plane began a rapid descent that lasted 47 seconds before striking a mountain slope within the Kharkas Mountain Range, situated close to Natanz.
Following the impact, the aircraft disintegrated. Search efforts located the wreckage a few hours later in a remote area near a telecommunication relay station. The accident resulted in 66 fatalities, with no survivors reported among the occupants.
