What happened
On November 2, wreckage from an aircraft was discovered in a secluded, marshy area within the Laguna del Tigre National Park. The crash site was located approximately 7 kilometers south of the Mexican border. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and the deaths of two individuals.
While the exact sequence of events leading to the impact remains unclear, the location of the debris field suggests the aircraft may have been involved in an unauthorized flight at the time of the accident. The wreckage was found in an isolated area, making the initial discovery of the site difficult.
Findings
Investigations into the crash have not yet established the specific mechanical or operational reasons for the accident. However, it is noted that the aircraft was operating in a restricted or unmonitored area of the national park during the incident.
