What happened
During a return flight to Canoas AFB in Porto Alegre following the conclusion of a joint military exercise, an aircraft disappeared from radar. The final communication from the crew was logged at 21:50 local time. Following the loss of contact, search efforts were initiated for the missing plane.
The wreckage was located approximately two days after the disappearance in the region of Terra de Areia, situated roughly 100 km northwest of Canoas Airbase. The impact occurred under unknown circumstances. There were no survivors among the 11 fatalities recorded on board the aircraft.
