Incident Overview
On June 1, 2020, the owner of a Mi-2 helicopter with registration RA-15746 planned to conduct a training flight. The intended route involved departing from the airfield at Stanitsa Ivanovskaya, proceeding to the area of Stanitsa Staronizhesteblyevskaya, and returning to the origin.
Accident Description
During the execution of a landing on a site selected from the air, the helicopter experienced an upset. The aircraft overturned onto its right side. Following this initial impact, the main rotor blades made contact with the surface of a rice field. This interaction resulted in the destruction of the rotor system and significant damage to the aircraft structure.
