On August 14, 2022, a Robinson R-44 II, registration RA-04385, conducted two flights in Class G airspace in the area of the Mana River, Krasnoyarsk Territory. The first flight departed at 09:01:46 from the PJSC 'Goldman Group' hangar and landing area. The aircraft landed at 09:27:30 at a geodetic point on the bank of the Mana River.
A second, emergency flight was recorded starting at 10:13:06 from the same geodetic point on the Mana River. This flight lasted approximately four minutes, following the course of the river, until an incident occurred at approximately 10:17 near the Manskaya Zaimka recreation center.
No flight plans were submitted to the Regional Center of the ECAA in Krasnoyarsk, and no radio communication was established between the crew of RA-04pend385 and air traffic control. There was no information available regarding the departure of the aircraft, pre-flight inspections, or refueling procedures. The identity of the pilot cannot be determined, as the owner's son, the only authorized pilot, stated he did not perform the flights.
The aircraft struck the water surface during the second flight. Data indicates the helicopter had been flying over the water at a very low altitude, ranging between 8 and 30 meters, prior to the incident.
