On August 17, 2018, a Robinson R66, registration RA-06371, operated by JSC "Khleb Service," was engaged in a flight intended for agricultural aviation purposes. The flight was planned to proceed from a landing area at JSC "Zernoproduct" in Ryazan to a landing site near Fedorovka. The pilot had received timely permission for an IFR flight from the State Air Traffic Management Center.
Following departure from the JSC "Zernoproduct" landing area at 14:43, the pilot decided to conduct a training landing in a field located in the Spassky district. The aircraft, RA-06371, underwent a full pre-flight inspection by the captain according to the flight manual, though no pre-flight medical examination was conducted per the specific regulations applicable to the operation.
During the landing maneuver, the helicopter experienced an increased vertical speed and collided with the ground. The impact caused the destruction of the aircraft's airframe. There was no fire reported following the accident.
The pilot sustained serious bodily injuries during the impact.
