On May 17, 2025, a Robinson R66, registration RA-06387, was operating a flight near the Gorka landing site for the purpose of flight training and skill maintenance. The pilot-in-command had submitted a flight plan to the Regional Center of the EASA Air Traffic Services (Moscow) at 07:00, receiving airspace authorization for Class C airspace at 07:01.
The pilot arrived at the landing site at approximately 07:50. While a pre-flight medical examination was not conducted, the pilot determined the flight could proceed based on weather conditions verified with the landing site dispatcher. The aircraft had been prepared for flight by qualified engineering staff from LLC "Gorka-Aero."
At the time of the flight, the pilot had an unauthorized passenger on board. The passenger was not listed in the flight application, and a formal manifest of persons on board was not created, which was noted as a violation of Federal Aviation Regulations.
The incident occurred during the landing phase. While attempting to land using an autorotation of the main rotor, the helicopter tipped over. There were no injuries reported following the event.
