Air Canada will add four new routes from Toronto starting in mid-2027. Shannon, Ireland and Oslo, Norway will be served three and four times weekly respectively on Airbus A321XLRs. Nice, France gets two flights per week and Guatemala City one, both on A330-300s.
A fifth daily flight to London Heathrow begins in May 2027 as a daytime A321XLR service. Flights to Shanghai will rise from three per week to daily on a Boeing 787-9, though the airline has not said when that change takes effect.
The carrier has 27 A321XLRs on order. Three are already in service, and executives expect seven more by the end of the year. Chief commercial officer Mark Galardo said initial results validate the aircraft's flexibility for transatlantic markets.
