Air France to open 29,000-square-foot lounge at JFK Terminal One

Air France will open a 29,000-square-foot lounge at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, the carrier announced on September 15, 2026. The two-floor facility will sit in the airport's New Terminal One and is scheduled to begin serving passengers in the first quarter of 2027.

The lounge is intended for travellers flying Air France, KLM and other SkyTeam airlines. It was designed by an in-house Air France team together with the design agency MARKS Brandimage, and will seat up to 400 guests at a time. Food and drink will lean on French offerings, including a selection of wines and champagnes, and the space includes areas set aside for beauty treatments, relaxation and work.

Two groups get separate treatment. Members at the top tier of the Flying Blue loyalty programme, Flying Blue Ultimate, will have their own section within the lounge. Passengers on La Première, the airline's first class service, will receive personalised service and access to a culinary offering credited to a well-known French chef.

Jennifer Aument, chief executive of New Terminal One, described the airline's investment in what she said would be the terminal's largest lounge as a sign of confidence in the travel experience being built there, adding that it would strengthen loyalty on the transatlantic market. Air France was among the first carriers to commit to the new terminal, which has been developed as a main gateway to New York and the United States for international airlines.

Citing Cirium SRS Analyzer data, the airline operated up to six daily flights to JFK from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport during the summer 2026 season.
