Alaska Airlines said Thursday it will add a new nonstop route between San Diego and Loreto, Mexico, starting December 19. The service will run twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using Embraer E175 aircraft operated by SkyWest.

The seasonal flights run through April 28, 2027, according to the airline. Alaska said it will be the only carrier offering nonstop service on the route. Loreto, in Baja California Sur, is known for its beaches and sport fishing.
