ANA finalizes order for eight more Embraer E190-E2 jets

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has finalized an agreement to acquire eight additional Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, Embraer announced on September 3, 2026. The new order adds to 15 E190-E2s already on firm order from a February 2025 contract. ANA Holdings had signaled the purchase on July 29, 2026, following a board decision to expand its regional jet fleet. The eight aircraft are valued at $642 million, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing. First deliveries from the original order are expected in fiscal 2028, with the additional jets arriving between 2029 and 2032. ANA President Koji Shibata said the E190-E2 supports sustainable regional aviation in Japan and reduces environmental impact and operating costs. Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO Arjan Meijer highlighted the aircraft's economics and fuel efficiency. Options for five more E190-E2s from the original deal remain.
