Bangladesh to Review Nine Aircraft Purchase Deals for Biman
The government of Bangladesh is reviewing contracts for nine new aircraft for Biman Bangladesh Airlines, citing possible irregularities in deals made under the previous administration.

Bangladesh plans to review purchase agreements covering nine new aircraft for state-owned Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Aviation Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat told parliament the contracts were signed under the previous government, and announced an investigation into possible irregularities in the procurement.
He did not say which aircraft types are involved or when the contracts were concluded. He also said Bangladesh wants to increase flights under existing bilateral air service agreements depending on demand.
