Copa Airlines adds frequencies to Bucaramanga and Pereira

Copa Airlines said it will expand its international operations in Colombia by adding frequencies on its routes to Bucaramanga and Pereira, both served from its Hub of the Americas in Panama City. The carrier said the change responds to sustained growth in regional demand and is intended to give passengers direct access to the continent without intermediate domestic connections.

The Panama City–Bucaramanga route moves to one daily flight, or seven weekly frequencies, starting 21 September 2026. The Panama City–Pereira connection rises to 17 weekly frequencies, with a special schedule lifting the offer to 18 weekly frequencies during the week of 21 December 2026 for the year-end high season.

Paola Castaño, the airline's regional sales manager for the Andean region, said Bucaramanga and Pereira are strategic, growing markets within the carrier's Colombian network. She said Bucaramanga continues to consolidate as a connectivity point for eastern Colombia, and that Pereira has shown resilience after difficult moments caused by an earthquake. Castaño said the additional frequencies strengthen international connectivity and keep travellers connected to the rest of the continent.

The airline said the expanded services give passengers access to its wider network through the Panama City hub.
