Emirates leads Germany-UAE market as Berlin route opens
Emirates will add Berlin to its German network, while an analysis shows it already offers the most seats between Germany and the UAE.

Emirates will serve a fifth German destination, with Berlin joining its existing routes from Dubai to Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg. Etihad Airways connects Abu Dhabi with Frankfurt, Munich, and Düsseldorf. Air Arabia flies from Sharjah to Munich and will add Frankfurt and Düsseldorf from December.
German carriers also operate in the market. Lufthansa resumes Frankfurt and Munich to Dubai in October, while Eurowings will restart Berlin, Stuttgart, and Cologne/Bonn to Dubai in November. Condor resumes Dubai flights from Berlin and Stuttgart in October, and also begins Frankfurt and Berlin to Abu Dhabi that month. Business-class airline Beond returns to the Dubai–Munich route in October.
For the winter 2026/2027 schedule, Emirates leads by frequency and seat capacity, with more than 1.2 million seats on roughly 2,700 flights in both directions.
