Finnair cancels Dubai flights for entire 2026/27 winter season
Finnair has scrapped all Dubai flights through late March 2027, citing continued regional security concerns, while Emirates prepares to launch its own Helsinki service.
Finnair will not fly to Dubai during the 2026/27 winter schedule, according to a report citing the Finnish aviation portal Lentoposti. The airline has cancelled all connections on the route through March 27, 2027.
The carrier cited ongoing instability in the Middle East as the reason for the extended suspension. Finnair had already halted Dubai flights from February 28 this year, a decision linked to tensions between the United States and Iran.
The pause comes as competition on the route is set to increase. Emirates plans to begin flying between Dubai and Helsinki starting in October 2026, stepping into the gap left by Finnair's withdrawal.
