Finnair flew 1,112,200 passengers in September, up 9.6% year-on-year, with growth across its Asian, European and North Atlantic networks. Domestic traffic was the only segment to decline.

Middle East services remain suspended, withdrawn on 28 February because of the regional security situation.

Capacity in available seat kilometres rose 6.8%, led by North Atlantic expansion. Including aircraft leased to other airlines with crews, capacity was up 0.4%. Passenger load factor reached 79.9%, and revenue per available seat kilometre rose 15.8%, which the airline attributed to improved load factors and higher yields.

Cargo volumes grew 4.5%, with gains in all traffic regions and particularly strong North Atlantic performance. Revenue cargo tonne kilometres rose 5.4%.

On-time arrivals improved to 83.6% from 83.1% a year earlier.
