Icelandair will add St. Louis to its network, opening a nonstop link between the Missouri city and Reykjavik from May 14, 2027.

The airline plans three to four weekly departures on the route, scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with the service running until Oct. 24.

St. Louis becomes a new point of entry for Icelandair's interline arrangement with Southwest, under which passengers can book connecting flights on both carriers as a single itinerary. Existing gateways for that partnership include Denver, Baltimore, Nashville, Orlando, Pittsburgh and Raleigh-Durham, according to Icelandair.

The carrier's U.S. network already covers 15 destinations, among them New York-JFK, Washington Dulles, Chicago O'Hare and Seattle. Beyond the United States, it also serves points in Canada, Greenland and Europe.

Separately, Icelandair said it will bring back flights to Madrid in 2027, operating two to three times a week over the summer season.
