A creditor filed a petition on 29 May 2026 to wind up Global Airlines. The petitioner is Jessica Huffman Reese of Naples, Florida, represented by a lawyer from Vedder Price, a firm specialising in aviation finance. Two hearings have been scheduled, on 15 July and 2 September, but no details of their content or outcome have been disclosed. The amount of the alleged claim is not known.

The company faced a similar petition in 2025, which was withdrawn. Global Airlines, led by founder James Asquith, has said it aims to return its Airbus A380, registered 9H-GLOBL, to service before the end of 2026. The aircraft has been parked in Tarbes since last summer.
