India's Fly91 Orders 40 ATR 72s, Aims for 60 Aircraft by 2031
Indian regional carrier Fly91 has placed an order for 40 ATR 72 turboprops, with deliveries starting in 2027, as it seeks to expand its fleet to 60 aircraft by 2031.
Fly91, an Indian regional airline, has ordered 40 ATR 72 aircraft to support its expansion plans. Deliveries will begin in 2027 and run through 2032. The airline aims to grow its fleet to 60 aircraft by 2031.
The carrier currently operates six leased ATR 72s and serves 13 destinations in India, including Agatti, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Pune. It focuses on tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Operations started on March 12, 2024, and the airline now runs 280 weekly flights from its base at Manohar International Airport near Goa.
Co-founder Harsha Raghavan called the order a milestone that supports the airline's vision and takes advantage of India's growth and regional air travel potential. The airline also benefits from a recently extended government aviation program.
