ITA Airways to cut Germany flights in winter 2026/27 schedule
ITA Airways will reduce frequencies between Rome and Frankfurt and Munich starting October 25, alongside smaller cuts on routes to Brussels and Zurich.
ITA Airways plans to trim its winter 2026/27 schedule on routes connecting Rome with Germany, according to the airline's published plans. Starting October 25, daily frequencies between Rome and both Frankfurt and Munich will drop from two flights a day to one.
Smaller reductions are also planned elsewhere in Europe. Weekly flights between Rome and Brussels, and between Rome and Zurich, will fall from 14 to 13, according to the aviation data portal Aero Routes, which was cited as the source of the schedule details.
The cuts come as ITA Airways operates within the Lufthansa Group network. Such reductions by one carrier within the group are often offset by capacity increases from other group airlines on overlapping routes, though no specific offsetting additions were detailed.
No reason for the schedule reduction was given in the available information.
