JetBlue opens bookings for BlueFirst domestic first class, debut set for December
JetBlue has begun selling tickets for BlueFirst, a new domestic first-class cabin, with the first commercial flight scheduled for 8 December between Boston and Fort Lauderdale. Introductory fares start at USD 249 one way.

JetBlue has opened reservations for BlueFirst, a premium cabin for short- and medium-haul flights on more than 30 selected routes. The carrier calls the product part of its JetForward transformation programme and a direct move into the premium travel segment.
The first commercial flight with BlueFirst is to operate on 8 December between Boston and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Fort Lauderdale was JetBlue's first destination; it now becomes the launch destination for the new cabin.
Days after that inaugural flight, the service will extend to selected operations between Fort Lauderdale and New York LaGuardia. More destinations will be added in stages over the following weeks and months.
BlueFirst is being installed on aircraft in the fleet that do not have the Mint cabin, so it will cover various markets in the airline's network, including destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. The service is planned for routes where Mint business class is not offered.
To support the commercial launch, the company published limited-time introductory fares for travel from 8 December. These include New York LaGuardia to Fort Lauderdale from USD 249 one way, Boston to Fort Lauderdale from USD 299 one way, and New York JFK to Liberia, Costa Rica, from USD 299 one way.
JetBlue said BlueFirst was designed to offer a more accessible first-class experience.
