JetBlue unveils BlueFirst, its first domestic first-class cabin

JetBlue has introduced BlueFirst, its first traditional domestic first-class cabin. The product will begin flying later in 2026, with bookings opening this fall. It will be offered throughout the airline's network on aircraft and routes that do not have the Mint business-class cabin.

BlueFirst seats are arranged two-by-two and recline five inches. They provide up to seven inches of extra legroom compared with the main cabin. Seats use T&N Flex foam developed by mattress company Tuft & Needle. Each seat has a 13.3-inch entertainment screen with Bluetooth connectivity, USB-A and USB-C ports, and a standard 110-volt outlet. Passengers will keep free access to JetBlue's Fly-Fi high-speed internet.

JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty said in a statement that domestic first class has become predictable and the airline wants a fresh take. Customers are looking for more premium experiences, she noted, and BlueFirst provides an elevated experience that feels distinctly JetBlue, with thoughtful touches, caring service and great value.

Passengers can order food and cocktails from their seats using the entertainment screens. A feature called Mixologist Mode lets travelers create custom cocktails by choosing a spirit, mixer and flavoring. On flights of at least 899 miles, passengers will get a meal served in a bento-style box with an entrée, side and dessert. Initial selections include sweet or savory crepes and sesame noodles with beef or tofu.
