Kuwait government A340-500 performs wing salute on departure from Zurich

A Kuwaiti government Airbus A340-500 carrying Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah departed Zurich on 29 September, with the crew performing a wing salute after takeoff.

A Kuwaiti government Airbus A340-500 left Zurich Airport on Tuesday, 29 September, after a two-day visit to Switzerland by Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who was on board.

After takeoff the crew tilted the aircraft, registered 9K-GBA, first to the left and then to the right, a manoeuvre known as a wing salute in which the wings are rocked as a farewell gesture.
