Boeing 777 (all variants)

Pakistan International Airlines has signed a contract to modernise the cabins of its Boeing 777s. Five aircraft are covered at first, with options on four more.

Aviationscouts, a German company in the Aerotec Group, is supporting the work.

The business class is the centrepiece: seats that convert into fully flat beds will be installed. Economy seats will be refurbished, not replaced. All cabins get new 60-watt power outlets, upgraded passenger service systems, carpets and other fittings.

PIA says the aim is to improve its product on long-haul flights in particular. No timetable for the retrofit was given.
