Plaza Premium Group opens Aurora and Lumi lounges at Helsinki Airport

Plaza Premium Group has opened two new lounge concepts at Helsinki Airport, in the non-Schengen area near Gate 40. They are called Aurora and Lumi. Aurora is presented as an upgraded version of the existing lounge, with a more refined, premium feel. Lumi is new, and has been designed for families as a comfortable place to relax.

Both form part of a transformed and expanded Plaza Premium Lounge. They aim to give travellers an authentic Nordic atmosphere before departure. Lumi means snow, and Aurora references the Northern Lights. Local artwork and nature-inspired design run throughout the interiors.

The launch follows the late-May opening of PPG's dining concept, Bites & Plates, at the same airport. The vice president for operations in northern Europe and UK said the company is excited to expand its presence in Finland at a key transit hub connecting Europe and Asia.
