Royal Airways of Chad receives first Embraer ERJ 145
Chad's Royal Airways has taken delivery of its first Embraer ERJ 145 XR, which landed in N'Djamena on 16 September. A second example is to follow, and the airline has also received its first ATR 72-500.
Chad's Royal Airways has taken delivery of its first Embraer ERJ 145 XR. The aircraft, registered TT-ROF, has 50 seats and is 24 years old. It arrived in N'Djamena on 16 September, according to the outlet News Aero. A second aircraft of the same type is expected to follow.
The ERJ 145 will be used on the carrier's new service between N'Djamena and Bangui, starting 7 October. Royal Airways also plans to resume domestic flights to Moundou, Sarh, Amtiman and Faya from 25 September.
The airline received its first ATR 72-500 on 6 September. Royal Airways began operating in 2023 and already serves Douala regionally, with further destinations planned in Africa and the Middle East.
