Virgin Australia is boosting capacity between Perth and Melbourne for the Australian Football League grand final, adding about 4,000 seats so Fremantle Dockers fans can travel to the match.
Virgin Australia is adding flights between Perth and Melbourne for the Australian Football League grand final, according to its scheduling plans reported by aeroTELEGRAPH.
About 4,000 extra seats go on sale. Eleven additional flights from Perth to Melbourne are scheduled between 23 and 26 September, ahead of the grand final at the weekend. Ten more will run on the return from 27 to 29 September.
The carrier says it will offer more than 30,000 seats between Perth and the state capitals on Australia's east coast across the period. The extra services are aimed at Fremantle Dockers supporters travelling to Melbourne for the match.
