Portugália Airlines has signed a new spare parts support contract with Embraer for its regional operation under the Tap Express brand. The agreement covers the carrier's full fleet of 19 Embraer E-Jets, twelve E190s and seven E195s.

Under the Component Pool Program, Portugália gets access to more than 300 different aircraft components. The contract covers exchange, repair and overhaul of parts. According to the source, the aim is better spare parts availability and lower inventory costs.

For Portugália, the deal is a return to Embraer as its spare parts provider. The airline had used the program for decades, from the introduction of the Embraer ERJ145, but switched to another supplier in the interim.
