Virgin Atlantic names Richard McCord as new CFO

Virgin Atlantic has named Richard McCord as its new chief financial officer. He takes up the role on October 5 and joins the airline's board.

McCord will oversee finance, treasury, procurement and fleet, insurance, and internal audit. He joins from London Luton Airport, where he has been CFO since 2021. Before that he spent more than ten years at energy company Centrica, and worked at PwC earlier in his career.

Ansar Hussain, acting CFO since January 1, will be promoted to senior vice president in finance.
