Incident Details
The pilot in command of a Cessna 150 requested and received taxi clearance to Runway 11L. While approaching the runway, the ground controller cleared the flight to cross Runway 11L after coordinating with the local controller, as four F-16 aircraft were positioned for takeoff on the same runway.
Sequence of Events
As the Cessna 150 proceeded across Runway 11L, one of the F-16 pilots queried the local controller whether the F-16s were cleared for takeoff. The controller responded in the negative. Simultaneously, unidentified voices on the recorded communications medium exclaimed that the Cessna 150 had been blown over.
Aircraft Actions
One of the F-16 pilots had applied takeoff power in anticipation of receiving a takeoff clearance. The resulting jet blast from the F-16s overturned the Cessna 150.
