What happened
On August 26, 2019, an incident occurred involving an ultralight aircraft, a 3Xtrim, near the Leszno (EPLS) aerodrome.
The investigation
The State Commission on Aircraft Accident Investigation (PKBWL) reviewed the documentation provided by the Commission member regarding the event. Following this review, the Commission formally resolved on September 29, 2020, to abstain from conducting a full investigation into the matter.
Findings
The decision to decline the investigation was based on the determination that the aircraft was built or operated in violation of applicable regulations. Due to this non-compliance with aviation standards, the Commission opted not to proceed with a formal inquiry and instead decided to notify the President of the Civil Aviation Authority regarding the decision.
