What happened
The incident involved a twin engine aircraft that had departed from Songkhla, Thailand. The primary objective of the flight was to deliver the airframe to the Indonesian Air Force in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. In addition to the delivery mission, the aircraft was carrying medical supplies.
While traversing airspace along the west coast of Malaysia, the plane lost contact and crashed into the sea. The specific circumstances leading to the impact remain unknown. Both individuals on board were killed in the accident. The fatalities included two senior military officers: a Lieutenant Colonel and an Air Vice-Marshal.
