What happened
During a training flight departing New Plymouth, the aircraft experienced a critical loss of fuel while en route. The crew was compelled to initiate an emergency landing procedure due to the lack of remaining fuel. The aircraft eventually came to rest in the area of Makaranui, located near Ohakune. Upon inspection, it was determined that the airframe sustained damage beyond repair. Fortunately, all three individuals on board survived the incident without sustaining injuries.
