What happened
During the landing phase on runway 23 at Villargencio-La Vanguardia Airport, the aircraft drifted left from the runway centerline and moved into a nearby grassy field. After traveling several hundred meters, the pilot attempted to initiate a takeoff roll. During this maneuver, the left wing of the aircraft dropped, leading to a loss of lift.
The aircraft entered a stall and subsequently struck trees. The impact occurred approximately 200 meters to the right of the threshold for runway 05. Despite the severity of the impact, all 14 occupants were successfully rescued from the wreckage. While the entire group survived, a small number of individuals sustained injuries during the accident.
Findings
- The aircraft veered off the runway during the initial landing sequence.
