After landing on runway 23, an airplane veered left into grass, rolled several hundred meters, then attempted takeoff. Left wing dropped, aircraft stalled, impacted trees, and crashed about 200 meters right of runway 05 threshold. All 14 occupants were rescued; few were injured.

Incident

An airplane experienced a runway excursion and subsequent crash after landing at Villavicencio-La Vanguardia Airport. The event involved a loss of directional control during the landing roll, followed by an attempted takeoff that ended in a stall and impact with terrain.

Sequence of Events

After touching down on runway 23, the airplane deviated from the paved surface, veering to the left and entering a grassy area adjacent to the runway. It continued rolling for several hundred meters within the grass. The pilot then initiated a takeoff attempt. During this maneuver, the left wing dropped, causing the aircraft to stall. The airplane subsequently impacted trees and came to rest approximately 200 meters to the right of the threshold of runway 05.

Rescue

All 14 individuals on board were extracted from the wreckage. A few of the occupants sustained injuries and received medical attention.
