Incident Overview
A twin-engine airplane arriving from Pereira experienced a turbulent landing sequence at Bogotá-El Dorado Airport. After an uneventful flight, the aircraft was cleared to land on Runway 13L. Upon touchdown, the airplane bounced three times before making firm contact with the runway. Following the firm landing, the aircraft went out of control, veered off the runway, and lost its nose gear before coming to rest in a grassy area adjacent to the runway.
Occupants and Aftermath
All 11 occupants aboard the aircraft evacuated safely with no reported injuries. The aircraft itself was damaged beyond repair. Among the passengers was Juan Fernando Cristo, Colombia's Minister for Internal Affairs. The incident did not disrupt airport operations beyond the immediate response.
