What happened
A training mission originating from Cairo-Intl Airport ended in a fatal accident approximately 125 km south of Cairo. The flight, which was being operated by a crew consisting of three pilots and three technicians, departed the airport at 14:34 local time. During the course of the flight, the aircraft became uncontrollable while in the air. This loss of control led to the plane crashing along the A1C Highway in the vicinity of Beni Suef.
The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and caused six fatalities, with no survivors among the crew and technicians on board.
Findings
Investigations into the crash determined that the primary reason for the loss of control was a mechanical failure. Specifically, the failure of the number four engine pylon during flight rendered the aircraft impossible to maneuver safely.
