What happened

During a nighttime departure from Bogotá-El Dorado Airport, an aircraft encountered mechanical difficulties shortly after takeoff. While the aircraft was in its climbing phase, the crew notified air traffic control regarding problems with the engine. In response to the emergency, the crew was granted clearance to perform an immediate return to the airport.

As the flight progressed, the crew determined that the aircraft was unable to complete the return maneuver. In an attempt to execute an emergency landing, the aircraft struck a farm before crashing into an open field. The impact forces resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft.
