What happened
During an approach to Ilaga Airport, the aircraft encountered challenging weather conditions characterized by intense rainfall. Upon touchdown on a runway surface made slippery by the rain, the pilot was unable to decelerate the aircraft sufficiently before the end of the paved area. Consequently, the aircraft overran the runway and traveled into an embankment.
Findings
- The primary factor in the excursion was the wet runway surface caused by heavy precipitation.
- The aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss.
- There were zero fatalities and zero injuries reported among the five occupants on board.
